When people talk about the money used in China, you'll often hear a couple of different names pop up, and it can, in some respects, be a little bit confusing at first, you know? There's the Chinese Yuan, which you might see abbreviated as CNY, and then there's also the Renminbi, usually shortened to RMB. The term "Renminbi" actually carries a pretty meaningful translation; it means "people's currency," which is, to be honest, a very descriptive and sort of poetic name for a nation's money system.
